An angel of light.

An angel of death.

From the same seed.

Can a man who is gentle, also be brutal?

Who will judge what is done in the shadows?

THE MOTORIST is a sprawling portrait of a precocious working class family throughout the 1980s-1990s, chronicling a mysterious drifter and his sister. Alexandra Barker is an intensive care nurse with a rear-view perspective. Unassertive and preoccupied, she takes abuse and lacks personal sovereignty. A dodgy broker and his concubines slander Alexandra’s family, yet speak with awe of her long-lost brother and an incident that changed his fortunes…

Jameson Blade is a writer, director, actor, and multi-medium artist from Detroit, Michigan.

A renaissance spirit, Jameson has worn the mask of an athlete, choir-boy, craftsman, musician, trainer, photographer, salesman, and more.

Jameson began writing prose at the age of thirteen. Songs at fifteen. Personal journalism at nineteen. Scenes at twenty. Jameson completed THE MOTORIST, an original feature-length screenplay trilogy, in late 2023. It waits to be greenlit.

Having lived a life steeped in lower middle-class culture akin to the American proletariat, Blade’s work reflects visceral blue collar characters set against mundane and opulent landscapes, in situations suggesting a staggering moral ambivalence on behalf of humankind.

Jameson turns his lamp on the intricacies of middle class life, bringing comedy, romance, family warmth, catastrophe, and violence to the surface of average and distinguished American lives.

THE MOTORIST features scathing antiheros and neo-villains, depictions of financial and political corruption; and flirtatiously ideates that dark, velvet-rope psychology (once privy to the few in gilded chambers of affluence) may have been astutely perceived, somewhere in the ether of the nineteen-nineties, as the next frontier of product to be mined and sold to the common man.

Jameson lives in Michigan with his wife of twelve years.
